In the Trogir shipyard a transfer took place as well as baptism of Novogradnja 321 which was launched earlier in February.
The transfer documents in the name of the ship owner were signed by Bo Walter, head of the inspection team of the orderer at Brodotrogir, and on behalf of Brodotrogir Mateo Tramontana, CEO.
During baptism, the godmother Vedrana Vukman, head of the Sales department at Brodotrogir cut the ribbon and named the ship Calypso and wished her a long life in calm waters, returning safely those who sail on her to their homes.
The orderer of the ship is a renowned Swedish maritime company Laurin Maritime AB. It is well-known that the Trogir dockyard already built for the Swedes a series of 6 tankers in the period from 2002 to 2004 whose names started with the letter T such as Tarantella, Tintomara, Tapatio, Toccata, Tosca and Tambourin according to well-known musical pieces, dances and opera arias. Namely, it is the tradition of this Swedish ship operator that all the ships' names in the fleet have something to do with music.
