Shipyard Trogir has signed two contracts for the construction of passenger sailing ships.
This represents a constitutive part of the strategy defined by the Integral Development Plan, that is the Programme for Shipyard Trogir Restructuring, and at the same time a continuity and the outcome of activities on repairs and reconstructions of similar vessels for a series of years.
Vessels with the working title Newbuild 327 and Newbuild 328 will be about 90 meters long with accommodation for 44 passengers. They will be propelled by two main engines and will be able to make 14 knots. The sailing ships will be equipped with 3 masts and 7 sails.
The ships are built for the shipping company from Switzerland, and the deliveryis planned for 2014.
Thus, the Shipyard Trogir opens the space in new niches which it occupied 40 years ago.
