Athena sailed in for regular annual check-up

Cruise ship Athena returned, as previous years, and almost at the same time, to our servicing base for a regular annual check-up, and in a few days Artemis, a ship of identical characteristics, will sail in, too, both owned by the Grand Circle Group.
Specifically, the ships are 59.60 m long, 10.68 m wide and have a shallow draught of only 3 m, which enables them to call to Adriatic ports such as Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik, and some Montenegrian cities, which during winter months are their main destinations, while during the summer they cruise the Ionian Sea.
During servicing, the ships will be tied at the outfitting quay where they will undergo replacement of two pumps, demounting of cylinder hydraulics, oil tank cleaning, as well as some smaller works on piping, machinery and electricity.
