Today in Brodotrogir, the keel was laid for the condensate transport ship, an icebreaker of Ice Class ARC 7 with a lifting capacity of 44,000 metric tons, which is being built for ARCTECH HELSINKI SHIPYARD, according to the contract on the construction of a vessel bow concluded in July 2016.
The ship is being built under the dual class of Bureau Veritas and the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
As far as the order book is concerned, the building of this arctic tanker – icebreaker, which will take about a year, and the equipping of two tankers (for the VITERLEF MANAGEMENT LTD company) whose main characteristics are similar to those of Brodotrogir's chemical tankers, have completely filled the shipyard's capacities, providing the possibility of additional employment and business for other companies in Croatia involved in shipbuilding.
