Some 90 pupils training for petroleum-mining technicians, from “Ivan Svear” high-school from Ivanic Grad visited our shipyard in the company of their teachers.
After presentation of the Trogir shipyard and the shipbuilding process, they toured the shipyard with explanations by Brodotrogir’s engineers. On that occasions, the pupils saw the production of elements of construction of the ship’s hull, assembly of panels and sections, equipment preassembly and anti-corrosion protection. They then toured the slipway, workshop for the preparation of prefabricated equipment, equipping bay and rig Zagreb 1. “We heard and saw many interesting things today. This is my first visit to a shipyard and this has been a tremendous experience for us all”, said one of the pupils. “Everything seems huge. I never imagined that such a large ship could be constructed. And this platform is enormous”, added one of his classmates. Impressed with what they have seen, they left the shipyard, and we are looking forward to the approaching visits of new generations who are always surprised with what they see and learn in our midst.
