Some forty students of Zagreb Faculty of Machine Engineering and Naval Architecture visited the Trogir shipyard in the company of their professors-mentors.
On that occasion, Trogir engineers faithfully presented the process of ship construction, the challenges of the mega-construction engineering and the planned dynamics of technological change. During the tour of facilities intended for the production and overhaul of ships, the students also toured an oil rig currently being overhauled at the Trogir shipyard. “We saw this rig on TV and now we can see it live. What we have seen on TV cannot be compared to what we saw in reality”, concluded one of our young visitors. Still, they stress, theory is one thing and practice quite another.
