Over one hundred fourth graders of both genders from "Bijaæi" elementary school from Kaštela, accompanied by their teachers, visited shipyard Trogir earlier today in the framework of the program of familiarization with the economy of the coastal region, as provided for in the annual school curriculum. Shipbuilding, being a life-giving economic branch in the region, is recommended for students in the framework of the so called learning from life, in accordance with the Croatian National Education Standard (HNOS).
Divided into four groups, girls and boys were joined by their hosts from Brodotrogir d.d., who showed them the entire shipyard to allow them to learn about and partially experience the process of tanker construction, to the pleasure of pupils who didn't try to hide their enthusiasm. "Mister, how much paint do you need to paint such a big ship? How do you climb a crane of this size? ". . . are just some of the questions pupils amazed at what they saw and heard wanted answered by shipyard employees.
