After being de-docked and tied to the shore on November 11, 2008, pace of ship equipping works has been picked up to allow for earliest possible delivery.
From an old rusty wreck, the ship is slowly being transformed into a solid functional ship. The ship Riviera Adriatica, owned by Irish company ADRIA FERRIES, came to the Trogir shipyard on November 7 2008, and was docked five days later. After several years, Adria Ferries returned to the Trogir shipyard and entrusted it with the repair of the ship by way of a signed contract. Detailed repair of 2 main engines and 4 auxiliary engines will be performed, light wood bearing in the left propeller axis strut will be replaced, underwater valves will be repaired, pipelines in the engine room and garage will be replaced, extensive anticorrosion protection works will be executed, as well as a number of usual repair works. All works will have been completed early in December this year, when the ship's commercial exploitation at the new Bari - Durres route is scheduled to commence.
