The fourth refreshed annual meeting of shipbuilding designers was held at Trogir on 26 and 27 April last, organized by Shipyard Trogir.
The first day of meeting, attended by representatives to the Croatian shipyards, Croatian Shipbuilding Association - Jadranbrod, Faculty of Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb, Croatian Academy of Science and Art and magazine "Brodogradnja", was held at Hotel "Medena".
The issues regarding prospects of the Croatian shipbuilding in the terms of current foreign and domestic economic and technological trends were, inter alia, exposed by Mr. Mladen Æorluka, Mr. Ivo Martinoviæ, Mr. Nenad Flesch, Mr. Amra Pende, Mr. Joško Parunov and Mr. Marcus Ihms, as well as by many other recognized domestic experts.
A wide spectrum of issues was about considering review of shipbuilding markets, either worldwide or in Croatia, protection of intelectual property, extending of home equipping system, safety ofmodern oil tankers, respectively effect of pollution protection to the construction of tankers or their particular segments and lastly the implementation of modern systems and products on older ship's types.
The meeting finished by visiting the Shipyard Trogir, where the participants had opportunity to be introduced with new technological processes and plans of future investments into Trogir shipyard.
