The large dock is currently occupied by two vessels in need of overhaul – Žigljen ferry and Frojdi III, a general cargo ship.
The Žigljen ferry is intended for passenger and goods transport. It is 51.84 metres long and 9 metres wide. Žigljen is a roll-on/roll-off ferry with the possibility of navigation in both directions. It sails in the Navigation Area 6, i.e. in the zone of the National Coastal Service and is owned by Viaduct d.o.o., a Croatian construction company. In the next few days, works will be performed on its propellers, as well as some smaller works on the fuel pipeline and exhaust insulation.
Frojdi III arrived at the dock for a routine maintenance, which includes cleaning and painting the underwater part of the hull and replacement of zinc anodes, with welding works and ultrasonic measurement of sheet metal thickness to be done on the hull. Frojdi III was built in 1990 in Arminus Werke-Bodenwerder, a German shipyard. It is 77.83 metres long and 11.30 metres wide, and is powered by a Krupp Mak engine that achieves the speed of up to 10 knots. It sails under Albanian flag and is owned by ALB Transport Vital Shipping.
