After the Jadrolinija's ferry Lubenice had left the dock and was moored at the outfitting quay for the purpose of interior refurbishment, the tanker Kijac (92.86*14.1), built in Turkey in 2006, entered the dock.
Kijac is specialized for the coastal transport of oil and chemicals. It is owned by the company Dinamarin from Rijeka, which, year after year, entrusts our experts with the overhaul of their ships.
The tanker will undergo regular annual general overhaul, including the testing of cranes and davit boats, works on submarine valves and intake strainers, cargo pipes and cargo tank thermal heating oil pipeline. Steel works will also be performed, as necessary, and after these works are completed, all steel surfaces will be painted. The underwater part will be additionally protected by new zinc anodes.
If all works run according to plan, the ship will be back on its route by the end of the next week.
