The students of the Split Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical. Engineering and Naval Architecture, accompanied by professor Èagalj have once again visited the Trogir shipyard. As they had already been familiarized with the design and construction of a ship on their previous visit, as well as with the preparation of production, this visit was dedicated to the Newbuilding 323 which is being prepared for turn-over.
Our engineers took their future young colleagues on a tour around the newbuilding and showed them anchoring and berthing equipment, equipment for liquid cargo transloading, fire-fighting equipment, life-saving equipment, steering gear, ventilating, heating and air-conditioning equipment, ship’s refrigerating rooms, accommodation, navigating equipment and equipment for safe movement on board. They spent a part of their time on the navigating bridge and in the engine room and confirmed what they had concluded during their last visit – without such expert visits, it would be hard to comprehend and imagine what they learn in theory.
