Today, at the Shipyard Trogir, a takeover of the chemical tanker Allegro was performed. The tanker was launched earlier in April; it was built for the orderer SITEAM PIONEER SHIPPING CO PTE LTD, Singapore.
This ship is intended for the transportation of chemicals and oil derivatives and has a capacity of 46,184 tdw, across all 182.90 m long and 32.20 m wide. The velocity of 15 knots is enabled by the main mover of 8200 kW produced at Brodosplit.
The takeover documents on the part of the ship owner were signed by Bo Walter, head of the orderer's inspection team at Brodotrogir, and on the part of the Shipyard Trogir by the director Mateo Tramontana.
The ship's name Allegro, just like in previously delivered ships, signifies a musical term. In this case Allegro means joyful (merry), i.e. brisk musical tempo. The cooperation with the well-known Swedish company Laurin Maritime dates back to 1999; it has developed into excellent business cooperation and friendship resulting in eleven tankers – TARANTELLA, TINTOMARA, TAPATIO, TOCCATA, TOSCA, TAMBOURIN, CAVATINA, CALYPSO, CORRIDO, AMORINA and ALLEGRO that was given over today.
